Adding books

How do I add an audiobook?

In the library, tap Import and pick a file or a folder in Files. Books you pick in Files are played where they are; Chapterpage never moves, rewrites or deletes them. You can also share a file to Chapterpage from another app, which copies it in.

Which formats work?

MP3, M4B, M4A, AAC, WAV, AIFF, CAF and FLAC, as long as the file isn't copy-protected. DRM-protected store books can't be played.

My MP3 folder imported in the wrong order.

Chapterpage sorts tracks the way people count (1, 2, 10) and keeps CD 1 / CD 2 subfolders together. If the order still looks wrong, the file names or track numbers may disagree; email us with the folder's file names.

Where do chapters come from?

M4B and M4A chapter lists, MP3 chapter frames, OverDrive MP3 chapter markers and a .cue sheet next to a single file. Without chapter data, each track is a chapter.

Your library

It says "Can't find this file".

The book's file was moved, renamed or deleted outside the app. Tap Locate and pick the file or folder again; your place and bookmarks are kept. Chapterpage never removes the book on its own.

A book in iCloud Drive won't play offline.

If iOS has moved the file to iCloud to save space, Chapterpage downloads it when you press play, which needs a connection. To keep a book on the device, choose Keep Downloaded for it in the Files app.

How do backups work?

Chapterpage backs up your library (places, bookmarks and settings) before each update and once a day, and keeps the newest five on your device. If the library is ever damaged, it restores the newest backup by itself. To restore one yourself, open Settings in the app and tap Backups.

Listening

What is Clear Voice?

A free setting that makes narration clearer in noisy places and on small speakers. Turn it on in the player.

How does the sleep timer work?

Choose a number of minutes or the end of the chapter. The audio fades out gently before it stops.

Chapterpage Pro

What does Pro add?

Silence trim, which shortens long pauses without speeding up the voice. The app shows what Pro includes, with the plans and prices, before you buy.

How do I restore my purchase?

Open Settings in Chapterpage and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with. Pro lifetime works with Family Sharing.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Chapterpage.

Can I get a refund?

Purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Deleting your data

Removing a book from the library deletes Chapterpage's record of it, and any copy Chapterpage made, but never the original file you picked in Files. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on the device.

Chapterpage is coming soon to iPhone and iPad
